Don’t you know, Child, to whom you belong? You are Mine, and no one else’s. I have put you in the care of those you have known on earth, the ones you call your mother, father, and friends.
But I am the one who formed you while you were yet in the womb and your father and mother did not know who you were. But I knew. For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name; I name you though you don’t know me. I am the Lord and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none beside me; I am the Lord and there is no other. I form light and create darkness I make well-being and create calamity. I am the Lord who does all these things. [Isaiah 45:4-7]
Don’t you know, Child, to whom you belong? You are Mine, and no one else’s.
You have not bought Me sweet cane with money; or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities. I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance let us argue together; set forth your case, that you may be proved right. Your first father sinned and your mediators transgressed against me. Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary and deliver Jacob to utter destruction and Israel to reviling. But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit upon your offspring and My blessings on your descendants. [Isaiah 43:24-44:3]
Don’t you know, Child, to whom you belong? You are Mine, and no one else’s.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. [Isaiah 45:3]
Don’t you know, Child, to whom you belong? You are Mine, and no one else’s.
Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come ad be ashamed all who were incensed against him. In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall Glory. [Isaiah 45: 24-25]
My Child, the one I created, the one I formed, the one I know, do you know how I feel about you yet?
And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him – for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength – he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One, to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation, the servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise; princes and they shall prostrate themselves; because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you. [Isaiah 49:5-7]
