Once upon a time, there was a woman who lived in the country. In the year 2017 and the unusually warm month of October, she was doing last-minute farming before the cold front hit. When she looked up, a dog sat on his haunches staring at her.
She turned the tractor off, crossed her arms over the steering wheel as the two regarded each other. After a couple of minutes, the dog ran to her side and thus started a brand-new relationship. Although he enjoys running through the woods, he always comes home to her. Falkor is his name…
It was a hot summer day when the limbs scattered about my front yard got on my nerves, and my OCD set it. I began picking up sticks when Falkor came running up to me and hunkered down on his front paws, indicating he wanted to play. With the breeze providing some relief to the heat, I swung the stick in the air wildly, and Falkor was jumping, trying to get it.
I took the stick and swung it through the air, calling out, “Go get it, boy!”
Falkor sat. And looked at me.
I put my hands on my hips, “Really?”
With him by my side, we ran over to the stick. We played with him trying to get it from my hands until I sailed it through the air again.
Falkor sat. And looked at me.
I busted out laughing, “You win, Falkor.”
I love this dog.
Until next time,
K-Trina and Falkor
